Alison (Ali) P. Chase

I am currently a Senior Oceanographer in the Air-Sea Interaction and Remote Sensing (AIRS) department at the Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington. Prior to my current position, I was a Washington Research Postdoctoral Fellow also at APL. Before starting my postdoc research, I earned my PhD at the University of Maine, working in the MISC Lab with Dr. Emmanuel Boss and Dr. Lee Karp-Boss, where I completed my dissertation on methods to observe phytoplankton in the open ocean using optics, flow cytometry, and pigments.
